US Treasury Secretary Jack Lew arrived on Sunday for a two-day visit at Cairo coming from Washington.
Topping a delegation, Lew will meet with senior officials to tackle recent developments in the region as well as terrorism.
Informed sources said that the US secretary will consider methods to boost bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
He will also discuss confrontation of terrorism as well as cooperation to stop funding terrorist groups.
