Shoukry in Jeddah to attend ministerial meeting of Gulf countries, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq

Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry arrived in Jeddah on Friday to take part in a consultative meeting of the foreign ministers of the Arab Gulf countries, Egypt, Jordan and Iraq.

He was welcomed upon arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed Al-Khuraiji, according to the Saudi Al Ekhbariya TV channel.

The meeting comes as part of coordination and consultation among the participating countries in order to promote joint Arab action and push for collective efforts to deal with crises facing the region, Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid had said Thursday.
