Sherbini beats Gohar 3-0 in China squash championship final

Egyptian squash player, Nour al-Sherbini, won the International Championship Open Cup in China, after beating her teammate Nuran Gohar 3-0 (12-10, 11-7, 11-9).

Sherbini, playing an amazing final game, tweeted Sunday, “Breaking news: Nour won the first world squash tournament China International Championship.”

Sherbini qualified for the final game after beating New Zealand player Kiwi Joelle King, ranked 12 worldwide, in the semi-final, maintaining her rank at the top of worldwide squash classification.

The China Open Championship, held in Shanghai, China from August 31 to  September 3, awarded a prize of $100,000 for both the men’s and women’s champions.
