A delegation of the Russian air defense arrived in Cairo on Monday to discuss bilateral relations.
Defense Minister Sisi and Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy visited Moscow and met with President Putin earlier this month.
Cairo has sought closer ties and enhanced cooperation with Russia following tensions with the United States after suspending a large portion of its financial aid after the army's violent dispersal of Rabaa al-Adaweya and al-Nahda squares sit-ins in 2013, in which almost 600 mostly unarmed protesters were killed.
Russia made a deal with Egypt for defense systems and arms worth US$1 billion by mid 2014.
