PM orders poll on daylight saving time

Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb commissioned the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC), the Egyptian Cabinet think tank, to conduct a survey on whether citizens support the application of the daylight saving time or not.
Mehleb called on different media outlets that have polls centers to conduct surveys in this regard as well.
Egypt's interim cabinet decided in 2012 following the 25 January revolution to cancel the daylight saving time after a poll posted on its website showed the majority of Egyptians would approve the cancellation.
The daylight saving time had been in effect since 1988 in Egypt. It usually lasts from the end of April to the end of September.
It was reinstated again on May 16, 2014.
