High Elections Commission ‘faltering’: NCHR member

National Council for Human Rights member Salah Salam described the High Elections Commission as "faltering", even though the commission includes senior judges.
The judges have legal experience but no political experience or experience in managing the electoral process, said Salam during an interview on CBC Extra Channel Sunday.
"No one can question the integrity of the members of the High Elections Commission, but the management of the electoral process needs administrative and political experience besides just judicial experience," said Salam.
Salam referred to bribes paid by the candidates to voters during the elections, saying poor voters take money from candidates in return for their votes.
