Free internet access at Ramses train Station in December

The Egyptian Transport Ministry said on Tuesday that it is introducing free Wi-Fi internet for passengers at Ramses train station for the first time starting December.

The ministry said in a statement that this step comes within the new projects plan adopted by the ministry, aiming to best serve citizens and all comprehensive development plans in the transport sector.

The ministry explained that this plan is part of an integrated plan in order to develop the services of the Egyptian National Railways Authority and seek to provide welfare for the commuters of the Ramses station in Egypt to match the international train stations.

The statement indicated that MOT for Investment and Development Company (one of the companies of the Egyptian National Railways Authority and the investment arm of Transport Ministry) signed a contract with the KMT Company.

KMT is an Egyptian company established in 2016, which has has implemented several media projects in railway facilities and the Greater Cairo Underground.

The project to provide free Wi-Fi internet service inside the Ramses station in Egypt is one of the means of maximizing the value-added services of the railway facility, increasing its resources and attracting different segments of the public, in addition to enhancing the global image of the station and the transport sector in general before the station’s visitors, citizens and tourists.
