Two Egyptian athletes have won silver medals at the Paralypmic Games in Rio de Janiero, Brazil, bringing home medals for sprinting and weightlifting.
Egyptian weightlifter Fatma Omar won a silver medal in the women's under-60 kilograms category.
During the first attempt, Omar failed to lift 133 kilograms. However, she succeeded on the second attempt.
In the third attempt, she was able to lift 142 kilograms, putting her in second place on the podium.
Meanwhile, on the running track, Egyptian sprinter Mostafa Fathallah won the silver medal in the men’s 100m.
The medal is Egypt's first for a running event in the 2016 Paralympics and its fifth overall in the games.
