EgyptAir subsidiary inaugurates aircraft maintenance center in Accra

The EgyptAir Maintenance and Engineering Company has inaugurated a new aircraft maintenance center at Kotoka Airport in the Ghanaian capital, Accra, to provide daily maintenance services to serve EgyptAir and Qatar Airways planes, as a first step towards targeting many new customers, Amr Aboul Enein, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EgyptAir Holding Company, stated.

He added that EgyptAir is currently working on implementing its ambitious plan to expand in Africa within the transport industry, whether through the expansion of the network of passenger transport lines, the transport of goods, maintenance, training, or others.

The maintenance station at Accra Airport serves planes from EgyptAir and Qatar Airways, in a step to expand existing cooperation with Qatar Airways and provide technical services to third-party customers, said the Chairman of the Egyptair Maintenance and Engineering Company, Yehia Zakaria.

The company aims to expand its presence in the Middle East and Africa through a number of maintenance stations to provide technical support to the company’s customers on a larger scale, Zakaria added.
