Communications and IT Minister Amr Talaat underlined the depth of ties binding Egypt and India in the various domains.
The minister went on to say that the two countries share similarities in many aspects, as they are considered the cradle of living civilizations.
The minister’s remarks came during a speech he delivered, on behalf of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, during his participation in a ceremony held by the Indian Embassy in Cairo on the occasion marking the 75th anniversary of India’s independence.
The minister conveyed the congratulations of the prime minister to the members of the diplomatic corps and the Indian community in Egypt on this occasion.
The minister, meanwhile, said that ties between Egypt and India has witnessed unprecedented boom during 2023.
He further said that Egypt’s membership in the BRICS bloc represents an opportunity to a new era of cooperation between the two countries in the various trade and investment spheres.
