Burj Khalifa is most searched architectural design on Google

Architectural landmarks have always fascinated people, becoming as famous as the cities in which they are located and attracting millions of visitors every year.

According to a new report by, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, UAE, is the most searched architectural design  on Google, having roused the interest of millions worldwide.

Inaugurated in 2010, the building is being searched at an average of 1.5 million times per month and is the most popular in 71 countries.

The Eiffel Tower in France ranks second on the list as the most searched architectural design on Google in 29 countries.

The Paris landmark was built in 1889, and has since become a symbol of the city and one of the most visited tourist attractions in the world.

Finally, in third place comes India’s Taj Mahal, a building that took nearly 20 years to construct and was designed as a mausoleum for Emperor Shah Jahan’s wife, who died while giving birth to their 14th child.
