Anti-revolution protesters demand apology from PM

Hundreds of anti-revolution protesters demanded an apology from Prime Minister Essam Sharaf for saying that he derives his legitimacy from Tahrir Square. They considered it an insult to the rest of the Egyptians who they claim to be against the protesters in the square.

The protesters, who are staging a sit-in in Mostafa Mahmoud Square, demanded the square’s evacuation and the return of the police to secure the country.

“We won’t leave here until they leave Tahrir Square,” said protesting film director Ahmed Abdel Moneim, adding that his group has collected 10,000 petitions nominating former Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq for the presidency.
