480 truckloads of aid enter Gaza Strip

Israeli authorities decided on Wednesday to allow 480 truckloads of goods and aid into the Gaza Strip through the Kerem Shalom crossing.
Raed Fattouh, head of the coordinating committee responsible for letting goods into Gaza, told the press that trucks would be loaded with both commercial and agricultural goods in addition to aid, including 40 truckloads of aggregate, 20 truckloads of cement and 10 trucks carrying construction steel.
He added that limited quantities of petrol and diesel and cooking gas would also be pumped into the Strip.
The Kerem Shalom crossing is the only commercial crossing, through which the Israeli occupation allows the entry of goods, construction materials, fuel and basic needs to get into the Gaza Strip. It is shut down on Friday and Saturday every week.
